“Developing Dauphin Home was something I'd wanted to do for a very long time,” explained Elke Dauphin, the initiator of the new home range. As a joint owner of the DHDG, she is responsible for product development and marketing within the group. The design connoisseur and vintage-car fan (she and husband Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin own more than 150 historical sports cars and around 240 classic motorbikes) was behind the move to create a separate home label based on selected ranges from the DHDG's “Züco” and “Bosse” subsidiaries.

The “Züco Swiss Quality” brand is synonymous with Swiss manufacturing tradition. To ensure the very highest-quality seating, much of the work is still carried out by hand. In contrast, the “Bosse office culture” brand is regarded as a pioneer in the field of intelligent room-structuring systems. Its “modul space” range forms the basis for the new “Dauphin Home” collections.

Relaxation and luxury

“There is great potential in combining selected Bosse and Züco collections under a distinct home brand,” said Elke Dauphin. “We can choose from an existing pool of high-quality items, add specific new items as necessary, and create versatile yet unobtrusive home furniture solutions which cater for all needs.”

“Dauphin Home” was created in close cooperation with the renowned designers and furnishing experts Martin Ballendat, Dietmar Scharping and Steffen Reim. It offers a subtle symbiosis of functionality, mobility, relaxation and luxury.

At the heart of the new range of furniture for living rooms, home offices, libraries, dining areas and hallways is a timeless chrome tubing system. Thanks to special holding plates, beautiful lacquered and natural-wood surfaces or even unusual types of glass can be used.

All items of furniture are perfect down to the last detail with concealed tube connectors and bevelled edges where the panels meet the round tubular structure. With various tube lengths and modules available as well as a choice of open and closed components with soft-close swing/drop doors or drawers, they provide a whole host of creative options.

Timeless living environments

A key feature of the new home collection is the combination of chrome, wood and lacquered surfaces as well as carefully coordinated designs, colours and materials. All items of furniture are painstakingly produced from high-quality materials. For example, the glass shelves in the shelving units are attached using virtually invisible fixings. Glass panels coated in coloured film provide design highlights in tailor-made shelving combinations. Flamboyant cover panels for credenzas and sideboards as well as matching dining, coffee and side tables help to create tailor-made living environments.
