Special events require an unique backdrop. This is what prompted Puls GmbH, a company based in Schwaig near Nuremberg, to decide on the Dauphin Speed Event. The Dauphin Speed Event is a fascinating location for discussions and meetings.
Puls GmbH was established in 1990 by Dr. Konrad Weßner. The company specialises in market research and consultancy services in the areas of market strategy, marketing and sales. One of the company’s objectives is to develop and implement individual solutions for clients. The company Puls GmbH found the ideal location for its 1st automotive congress in the Dauphin Speed Event. The Dauphin Speed Event offers an optimum combination of business and culture. A more relaxed atmosphere can be created at meetings, seminars and conferences by viewing the collection of cars and motorbikes. During breaks, guests can relax in the directly adjoining cafeteria or in the outdoor areas. The premises for the Dauphin Speed Event are able to accommodate events with up to 500 people.
The Dauphin HumanDesign® Group provides the communications furniture for this event. This comprises the Join Me nesting chair and folding table (Design: Martin Ballendat). Both of these Dauphin-branded products have already won international awards.
The folding table: three in one
The “Join Me” folding table transforms itself from a narrow piece of filing furniture (90 x 30 cm) into a training table twice the size complete with modesty panel (90 x 60 cm) or into an even bigger square table (90 x 90 cm) which can be linked to other tables for meetings, seminars and the like. Once work is over, it can be folded together and placed against the wall in a space-saving manner just like a sideboard.
This can be done with a minimum of effort because the table top which consists of three identical parts placed next to one another and connected together with hinges is made of aluminium and is therefore light. Depending on the resulting size of the table top, it is then only necessary to fold the legs inwards. Both legs on each side are synchronised which means that only one leg needs to be moved. However large it may seem, this high-tech table which is patent protected can be linked to other tables, either in a row or around a corner.
The intelligent nesting chair
The matching “Join Me” conference chairs are meaningfully described as “nesting chair” because when the seat is folded upwards they can be pushed together like shopping trolleys thanks to their intelligent frame geometry. The clever folding mechanism saves a great deal of storage space and is a considerably easier option than stacking layer upon layer of seats on top of one another.
The innovative Join Me folding tables and nesting chairs allow seminars, training sessions, spontaneous conferences and discussions with any number of participants to be set up quickly and easily. Martin Ballendat, the renowned designer from Simbach near Passau, describes his “Join Me” mobile conference ensemble as “clever soloists” which can at any time form a well-practiced orchestra.
